Portugal and Brazil do not follow the same route
Portugal may use multilingual standard forms for certain public documents within the EU. Brazil participates in the Apostille Convention, but whether an apostille and translation are needed must be checked for the particular document and procedure.

Does a Portuguese certidão always need a translation?
No. A European multilingual standard form may be available for certain matters. Ask the receiving body whether it accepts the form.
Do you translate apostilled Brazilian documents?
Yes. If the apostille accompanies the document that will be submitted, send it too so that it can be included in the quote.
Do you adapt Brazilian and European Portuguese differently?
Yes. We identify the country and use the Spanish equivalent appropriate to the institution and document type.
